By From page A9 | November 27, 2013

The Davis Chorale has kicked off its 36th annual holiday citrus sale.

The Chorale is soliciting orders for fresh-picked fruit to support local music . For sale are organic seedless mandarins from Orland (25 pounds per box), ruby red grapefruit from Texas (40 count per box) and Hamlin juice oranges from Florida (115 count per box).

Orders of fruit will be delivered directly to the buyer on the weekend it arrives. Mandarins will be available on Friday, Dec. 6, and grapefruits and oranges on Friday, Dec. 13. A full box of any of the fruit choices is $40. A half-box is $22. Orders must be placed by Dec. 2.
The citrus fruit sale raises 25 percent of the Chorale’s annual budget, which pays for music purchases, performance venues, musicians and the director.
For more information, contact a Chorale member, order directly through the website, DavisChorale.org, or email [email protected].
