City offers CPR training

The city of Davis presents an Adult & Child CPR/AED with Infant CPR class to train lay responders to recognize and care for life-threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies in adults, children and infants.

The class meets from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Community Pool Building, 201 E. 14th St. in Davis.

Upon successful completion of course requirements, participants will receive two-year certifications in CPR/AED-adult and child and CPR-infant. To receive certification, participants must attend and take part in all skills practice and assessments, demonstrate competency in all required skills, and correctly answer at least 80 percent of the questions on the written exams.

The cost is $40. All textbooks are included. Register at the city of Davis Community Services office, 600 A St., Suite C, or online at http://www.cityofdavis.org. For more information, call (530) 757-5626.
