Davis Media Access will present a live Election Night program beginning at 8 p.m. Tuesday on DCTV Channel 15 on Comcast Davis. It also will air on AT&T’s U-verse on Menu 99 and be simulcast on KDRT-LP, 95.7 FM in Davis. Additionally, a link to a live stream of the program will be available at http://davismedia.org.
The show will be focused on analysis of campaigns and the campaign experience, and will highlight election results as they become available. Calls are welcome beginning at 8:30 p.m. at 530-757-2419. Updates also will be available @dmafeed on Twitter, #daviselections2014.
Hosts for the evening are Richard Harris and Anna Ferrera. Harris is a former member of the Davis Board of Education. Among his long political history, he was a former legislative committee consultant, senior policy adviser and leadership staff in the state Assembly, and district director for former Rep. Vic Fazio. He works as a policy adviser with the firm of Nossaman LLP.
Ferrera is the founder and executive director of the School Energy Coalition, an organization comprising K-12 schools, community colleges, private sector school construction and energy consultants with regard to energy efficiency and renewable retrofits for California’s students.
In 2013, she led a successful advocacy effort on behalf of K-14 schools that resulted in an allocation of $428 million in Proposition 39 school project funding. She also serves as a legislative advocate at the firm of Murdoch, Walrath and Holmes.
DMA is the nonprofit community media center serving Yolo County. Tuesday’s program caps an election season in which DMA has aired more than 100 hours of locally produced election programming. It’s also available online at https://dctv.davismedia.org/collections/election.
