Davis City Council candidate Lucas Frerichs invites local residents to celebrate Earth Day with a visit to his home to experience an innovative, environmentally sensitive and vibrant Davis infill housing project.
Co-founders and fellow residents of the Shepherds Close infill project — including Mike Corbett and Chris Corbett — will be on hand to give tours and discuss the project.
“What is infill anyway? And why are people in Davis talking about it? Come see for yourself; I think you’ll like what you see,” Frerichs says in a news release. “My wife Stacie and I and our neighbors are opening our community to everyone who is curious about the future of infill housing in Davis.”
The Shepherds Close project, at 726-736 B St., includes five houses and two apartments on less than a half-acre.
Also showcased at the open house, from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 22, are several innovative businesses and organizations: The Pepper Peddler, Davis Flea Market, Acme Theatre Company, Davis Dollars, The Davis Dirt and Tour de Cluck.
Fresh, locally brewed beer from Yolo County’s newest craft brewery, Berryessa Brewing Company, will be served, along with light snacks and live music.
The event is free and open to the public, but donations to Frerichs’ campaign are appreciated. For more information, call (530) 219-6270.
