The city of Davis Community Services Department will host a follow-up discussion on design options for Community Pool from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Davis Senior Center, 646 A St.
The discussion will include a review of three conceptual design options that emerged from the community design charrette on May 23.
This discussion aims to gain community input on the final design alternatives for the Community Pool Complex. Representatives from the Aquatic Design Group and city staff will be on hand to answer questions.
This meeting will be the last in the series of community input meetings being conducted by the Community Services Department and Randy Mendioroz of the Aquatic Design Group prior to the draft report being presented to the Recreation and Parks Commission in July. Input received at all the community meetings will be incorporated into the draft of the feasibility study.
The feasibility study will evaluate the cost-benefit analysis for the planning, construction and operation of a 50-meter competitive pool complex, or that of a multiuse, recreational complex at Community Park, a news release said.
The feasibility study will provide th commission and the Davis City Council with more detailed information as the city makes its final determination on the future of Community Pool and other city-operated aquatic facilities, the release said.
