County Road 98 will be reduced to a single lane of traffic from County Road 27 to County Road 29 on Tuesday, officials announced. The same segment of road will be closed to all through traffic from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.

The closures will allow relocation of Wave Broadband communication lines as part of the County Road 98 safety improvement project.

Closure dates may be extended or modified subject to weather conditions, county officials said. Detour signs will direct and inform motorists of the closure.

During the road closure, access to properties north of Plainfield Station will be from County Road 27 and access to Plainfield Station will be from County Road 29. Access to properties will be provided at all times, the county said.
