The Davis Farmers Market will be alive with holiday music and shoppers from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays through Dec. 22, under the Pavilion in Central Park at Fourth and C streets.
From 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, authors Georgeanne Brennan and Anne Evans will sign copies of “The Davis Farmers Market Cookbook,” and the market’s Gift Basket Central will reopen. Individuals who buy three items may have them wrapped for free in a complimentary gift basket.
At the north end of the market, shoppers will find a variety of hand-made items including dolls, photography, beeswax candles, lapidary arts, holiday wreaths, fresh lavender and cedar sachets, pottery, metal and wood work, basketry, paintings and jewelry. Davis Farmers Market Gift certificates and shopping baskets are available at the market booth at the south end of the pavilion.
The holiday music lineup includes:
* Saturday: Peter Franklin Band, Guitar Mac and the Davis Youth Flute Choir;
* Saturday, Dec. 8: Grace Valley Carolers, Piccola, Richter Scale, Davis Holiday Band, Avalanche, Acacia Fellowship, Davis Suzuki Strings and Music Box;
* Saturday, Dec. 15: Peter Franklin Band and harpist Aryeh; and
* Saturday, Dec. 22: Susanna Holland, Blue Confluence and Grace Valley Carolers.
