Seats are still available for May cooking classes at the Davis Food Co-op. The spring class schedule is available at the store at 620 G St. or by calling Julie Cross at (530) 758-2667 ext. 139. It can also be viewed online at davisfood.coop/classes.
The Co-op offers a wide range of classes for children and adults, with prices ranging from $7 to $40 per class. More than 60 classes are available for spring enrollment. Private classes for birthday parties and corporate team building are also available.
Sacha Laurin’s popular “Hands-on Cheese” classes continue, including feta and goat brie. Also in high demand are Viji Gururajin’s series of Indian cooking classes.
People interested in a gluten-free diet will enjoy Amy Radbill’s classes, including an “Intro to Gluten-Free Flours” and “Gluten-Free Breakfast Breads.” Children ages 3 to 12 may enjoy classes on cooking with strawberries and the science of cooking. Teens are invited to explore the cuisines of France and England.
Advance registration by mail or in person is accepted for all Co-op classes. Registration at the door is permitted, but classes often fill up in advance.
