Davis police have arrested a 28-year-old man who may be responsible for a series of peeping and prowling incidents at West Davis apartment complexes.
Roberto Molina Jr., a rural Yolo County resident, was taken into custody at about 10 p.m. Sunday after an assistant manager of the Sycamore Lane Garden Apartments noticed a man peering into apartments at 609 Anderson Road and 614 Sycamore Lane, Lt. Paul Doroshov said.
“Officers suspect Molina may be responsible for prior incidents of peeping/prowling in the area,” Doroshov said. “The connections to prior cases are currently being investigated.”
Doroshov also lauded the management of the Sycamore Lane complex for heightening employee awareness about the peeping incidents, which began earlier this year.
“Their efforts paid off in this case,” he said.
Anyone with information about Molina and any suspected prowling activity — including incidents not yet reported to police — is asked to call the Davis Police Department at (530) 747-5400.
