By From page A6 | May 04, 2014

This Cinco de Mayo, Yolo County’s Avoid the 8 DUI task force is cracking down on drunken driving, and those who are caught will be arrested.

Special DUI saturation patrols will be deployed this weekend in several Yolo County cities, looking to identify and stop suspected drunken drivers. Additionally, every routine traffic and patrol officer assigned to duty will be on heightened alert, a news release said.

The Avoid the 8 DUI task force funding is provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
