Cat, kitten adoptions are a bargain

By From page A5 | July 01, 2012

The Yolo County Animal Shelter has reached its capacity for housing cats and kittens. Of the 80 cats and kittens at the shelter, 25 are available for immediate adoption.

In order to make room at the shelter for the constant stream of incoming cats, Animal Services is reducing the adoption price for cats and kittens from $110 to $20 for the next week, a news release said.

All cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, de-wormed and tested for feline leukemia and feline AIDS. All cats are microchipped with free lifetime registration. In addition, adopters get cat food and a cat toy.

If the adopted cat has a roommate, that second cat will be available to the same adopter for only $10.

The reduced adoption fees will be in effect until Saturday, July 7.
