Credit union will open downtown office on March 12

The Yolo Federal Credit Union has announced that its new downtown Davis branch at 501 G St. is nearly complete and will open for business at 10 a.m. Monday, March 12.

“This new LEED-designed branch will be a beautiful addition to an already wonderful downtown,” stated Clyde Brooker, president/CEO of the credit union.

Brooker said he is excited about the sustainable features of the building, which include a 12kw photovoltaic solar system and an electric variable refrigerant flow heat pump system that will minimize energy used by removing heat from an area that is too warm and transferring to another area that is too cold.

Many of the interior features are made of recycled materials, “and we are especially excited that 75 percent of the construction waste alone was separated and diverted, reducing the impact of the construction process on our environment,” Brooker added.

“We are Yolo County’s credit union and premier mortgage lender. With a wide variety of financial services, including our expanded business services, we are excited to bring this new, beautiful full-service branch to our current and future Davis members,” Brooker said.

Yolo Federal Credit Union has been serving the county’s communities for over 55 years. Membership is available to anyone who lives, works or attends school in Yolo County.
