Police arrested a 72-year-old Woodland man on Wednesday for assault with a deadly weapon following an altercation with another individual at the Hotel Woodland.

Woodland police had been called to the hotel at 436 Main St., at about 7 p.m. Wednesday following report of a battery and found that a 49-year-old Woodland man had been stabbed several times. The man, who sustained non-life-threatening wounds, was transported to Woodland Memorial Hospital for treatment.

After speaking to witnesses, police located and arrested Angel Gonzalez-Ballesteros for the assault. He was booked in the Yolo County Jail and charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
