Apartment fire displaces three residents

By From page A4 | May 04, 2014

The Davis Fire Department is investigating the cause of a blaze that displaced three people from their West Davis apartment Thursday.

Spokeswoman Evelyn George said the fire was reported at 5:14 p.m. at the Sundance Apartments, 510 Arthur St., where it apparently began in a rear bedroom of the apartment. One person was transported to Sutter Davis Hospital for injuries that were not burn-related, according to George.

Losses from the fire were estimated at $20,000, and the Red Cross was called in to assist the displaced residents, George said.
