Arrests made for Woodland tire slashings

By From page A4 | May 04, 2014

Woodland police announced Friday the arrests of three Woodland teenagers in connection with a rash of tire slashings reported late last month.

Brandon Brimm, 18, and two minors ages 15 and 17, face 18 counts of vandalism and one count of conspiracy in connection with the April 24 incidents, in which residents in the south area of Woodland reported tire slashings on one or more vehicles. Brimm also is charged with two counts of a delinquency to a minor, Lt. Anthony Cucchi said.

“Malicious mischief” is believed to be the motive for the crimes, Cucchi said in a news release.

“The suspects were apprehended with the assistance of Woodland residents providing information to the Police Department,” Cucchi said. “This is an example of the community and the Police Department working together to come to a successful resolution.”
