Bikes, cars collide in downtown Davis

Emergency personnel responded to two car-versus-bike crashes in downtown Davis over the weekend.

The first occurred at about 9:10 a.m. Friday at the intersection of First and D streets. The bicyclist was transported to Sutter Davis Hospital with unspecified injuries, according to the Davis Fire Department.

A second collision occurred at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Second Street and University Avenue, according to Davis police reports, which didn’t indicate whether anyone was injured in the crash.

Further details about the incidents were unavailable Monday.
