Bomb squad training may get noisy

If you hear explosions north of the Davis city limits later this week, never fear — it’s just some routine police training.

The Yolo County Bomb Squad, FBI and Sacramento regional bomb squads are planning two explosives-related homeland security training sessions Wednesday and Thursday at the police range along Pole Line Road north of Covell Boulevard, Bomb Squad Commander Nick Concolino said.

As part of that training, there will be a series of small explosions that may be heard within the city limits, Concolino said. The training sessions are not open to the public.
