Campus police seek suspect in dorm entry

By From page A3 | March 19, 2014

UC Davis police issued a crime alert this week about a suspicious man who entered a dorm room at the Tercero student housing area.

According to the alert, the suspect is believed to have stolen a dorm access card from a resident at Potter Hall, then used the card to enter an occupied dorm room at about 12:30 a.m. Monday, though the incident was not reported until later that morning. He fled upon being confronted, and police efforts to find him were unsuccessful.

The suspect was described as a white male, about 5-foot-8 and 140 pounds, wearing dark clothing and a blue UC Davis baseball cap. Anyone with information is asked to contact UCD police at 530-752-1727.

Police remind the campus community to keep their dorm rooms locked at all times and immediately report crimes in progress by calling 911.
