California Highway Patrol officers arrested two Bay Area men on multiple drug-related charges late last week, the agency reported Monday.

Juan A. Estrada, 24, of San Leandro, was stopped shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday for allegedly speeding on southbound Highway 113 at Covell Boulevard in Davis. In addition to having a suspended driver’s license and warrant for his arrest, Estrada reportedly had assorted prescription pills and evidence of sales activity inside his Chevy Suburban, Officer Cindy Leal said.

On Saturday, officers arrested 21-year-old Kyle W. Hamlin of San Lorenzo after a 9:25 p.m. vehicle stop on northbound Interstate 505 north of County Road 31 near Winters revealed more than two pounds of marijuana inside his Mercedes, according to Leal.

Both men were lodged at the Yolo County Jail.
