A 13-year-old girl was hospitalized Tuesday after her bicycle collided with a car, according to the Davis Fire Department.

Spokeswoman Evelyn George said the teen was biking in the area of East Covell Boulevard and Manzanita Lane shortly after 4 p.m. when she ran into the westbound car.

The girl was transported to the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento for treatment of pain to her head, right ankle and right wrist, George said. She did not lose consciousness.
