Davis driver injured in hit-run crash

By July 5, 2011

A Davis woman was injured Monday while trying to avoid a collision in West Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Kimmeshri T. Harrichan, 22, was traveling eastbound on Highway 50 near the Interstate 80 transition ramp at about 11:45 a.m. when another driver made an unsafe lane change, forcing Harrichan to take evasive action, Officer Cindy Leal said. As a result, Harrichan lost control of her Nissan Sentra and struck a concrete wall.

Harrichan was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center with a broken clavicle and pain to her neck and left knee, officers said.

The CHP is investigating the incident as a hit and run, said Leal, who described the other vehicle as being gray in color. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Woodland CHP office at (530) 662-4685.
