A Davis man reported being the victim of an assault early Sunday morning that required medical attention.

According to Davis Assistant Police Chief Darren Pytel, the 30-year-old man was struck in the head with a glass during a confrontation at The Graduate in University Mall shortly after midnight. He suffered cuts and lost consciousness during the incident and was transported to Sutter Davis Hospital for treatment.

The incident and the events leading up to it remain under investigation, Pytel said Monday.
