By From page A2 | June 28, 2012

A head-on collision in downtown Davis sent one man to the hospital Tuesday morning, police said.

Kevin Kelver suffered pain to his head and back when his car was hit by a Chevy truck whose driver had made a wide turn from southbound B Street onto westbound Fourth Street, Lt. Paul Doroshov said. Kelver had been driving eastbound on Fourth at the time of the crash, which occurred shortly before 11:30 a.m.

Kelver, of Rancho Cordova, was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento for treatment, Doroshov said. The truck’s driver, 26-year-old George House of Davis, was unhurt.
