What began as an investigation into alleged drug activity led to the arrests of two people and the recovery of a cache of weapons, Davis police reported today.

Lt. Tom Waltz said officers from the Special Assignment and Focused Enforcement (SAFE) team served a search warrant Thursday at a home in the 1200 block of Auburn Drive, recovering a “large quantity” of prescription medications as well as marijuana.

Also found in the home were a total of 21 weapons, including rifles, shotguns and handguns, according to Waltz. Officers also reported that three children, ages 3, 5 and 15, were living inside the house.

Police arrested Jared Glenn Childress, 41; and Crystal Suzanne Clower, 31; on various drug and weapon-related charges as well as child endangerment, Waltz said. They were lodged at the Yolo County Jail.
