The Davis Fire Department is investigating the cause of a structure fire that occurred Friday afternoon in the 600 block of Fifth Street, spreading to a nearby vehicle before it was contained. Division Chief Bruce Fry said the 4:15 p.m. blaze caused an estimated $75,000 in damage but no injuries to either the two residents who were home at the time or any firefighters who responded to the scene.
