Fire damages Woodland home

By July 5, 2011

The Woodland Fire Department is investigating the cause of a fire that damaged a Woodland home Monday night.

Crews who were summoned to the blaze shortly after 6 p.m. found smoke and flames coming from the rear of the home at 906 Sycamore Lane, Battalion Chief Greg Robinson said. Two people were inside when the fire broke out but escaped safely.

Robinson said the fire, which burned the interior of the single-story home as well as a rear patio area, caused about $100,000 in damage. No injuries were reported.

Willow Oak firefighters assisted Woodland crews in fighting the blaze, while an engine from the Davis Fire Department provided station coverage in Woodland during the incident, Robinson said.
