Fire destroys Woodland garage

By From page A5 | August 19, 2014

The Woodland Fire Department is investigating the cause of a second-alarm blaze that destroyed a residential garage Sunday.

Battalion Chief Greg Robinson said crews dispatched at about noon to reports of a structure fire in the 100 block of Oak Avenue arrived to find the detached garage “well involved” in flames, which also were threatening to spread to two adjacent structures.

The Davis, UC Davis and West Sacramento fire departments assisted at the scene, and damage to the garage was estimated at $25,000, which Robinson deemed a “total loss.” No injuries were reported.
