Four people were scheduled to be arraigned in Yolo Superior Court on drug and conspiracy charges today after allegedly being caught with $16,000 worth of methamphetamine, according to the Yolo County Sheriff’s Department.
The arrests stemmed from an 11:15 p.m. contact deputies made Sunday with the foursome at an Interstate 5 rest stop in Dunnigan. Sheriff’s spokesman Mark Persons said the deputies detected the odor of marijuana coming from the car and were given consent to search the vehicle.
Inside the car was a small amount of marijuana, along with 446 grams of methamphetamine with a street value of $16,000, Persons said. Arrested were Corning residents Jorge Luis Flores, 27; Kyle Justin Farmer, 19; and Marie Felix Gamez, 23; as well as 19-year-old Joseph Farmer of Clements.
