Davis police arrested a Sacramento man early Friday morning for allegedly possessing a loaded firearm in public.

Demonte Marquez Kelly, 21, was taken into custody at about 1:20 a.m. in the 200 block of G Street, where someone had called 911 to report an armed man in front of Wunderbar, Lt. Glenn Glasgow said.

Glasgow said Kelly allegedly retrieved the shotgun from his car during a verbal argument with another person, but had put it back in his vehicle by the time officers arrived on scene. The gun was not discharged, and no injuries were reported.

Kelly was lodged at the Yolo County Jail, Glasgow said.
