Man reports robbery attempt

By From page A3 | January 28, 2014

A man reported being the victim of an attempted robbery early Saturday morning, Davis police reported Monday.

Lt. Glenn Glasgow said the victim was riding his bike at about 5:30 a.m. and was confronted while stopping for a red light at an unknown intersection. That’s where an older-model Ford vehicle pulled up alongside him and the driver tried to rob him at gunpoint.

The suspect left when the victim said he had nothing to offer, Glasgow said. He was described as an African-American male adult, clean-shaven with short dark hair, wearing a blue T-shirt and possibly a gold bracelet on one wrist.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the Davis Police Department at 530-747-5425.
