By From page A4 | November 03, 2013

Halloween was no treat for a man who reported being shot and wounded Thursday night in Woodland.

Police Lt. Anthony Cucchi said officers were dispatched at 9:14 p.m. to Woodland Memorial Hospital, where the unidentified victim had arrived with a single gunshot wound to his thigh. He told police he had been walking through City Park on Cleveland Street a half-hour earlier when he was shot at three times, then heard a car speeding away.

The man could not provide a description of either the vehicle or any suspects in the case, Cucchi said. Anyone with information about this incident to call at 530-661-7800 or 530-666-2411. Callers may remain anonymous.
