Morning crash ties up I-80 commute

By From page A2 | July 09, 2013

All lanes of westbound Interstate 80 were shut down Monday morning after two vehicles collided near the Yolo Causeway, according to the Davis Fire Department.

Spokeswoman Evelyn George said the 6:08 a.m. collision caused one vehicle to roll over, while the second landed on its left side against the median guard rail. The driver of the rolled vehicle was taken to the UC Davis Medical Center with unspecified injuries, while the second driver did not require transport.

Westbound traffic was snarled for hours after the crash scene had been cleared.
