A motorcyclist was hospitalized Thursday after colliding with a vehicle at a northeast Davis intersection, according to the Davis police and fire departments.

Davis police Lt. Glenn Glasgow said the motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Pole Line Road and collided with a car whose driver was turning from westbound Moore Boulevard onto southbound Pole Line Road at about 4:55 p.m.

The motorcyclist, whose identity was not available Friday morning, sustained moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to the UC Davis Medical Center with one firefighter on board to assist ambulance personnel with medical aid, Fire Department spokeswoman Evelyn George said.

The driver of the car, 20-year-old Alexandra Hanke of Davis, was not injured in the collision, Glasgow said. An investigation into the crash is continuing.
