The Yolo County District Attorney’s Office filed murder and weapon charges this morning against a Woodland woman accused of fatally shooting her husband Sunday night.

Susan Kathleen Hoskins, 59, was scheduled to be arraigned at 1:30 p.m. today in Yolo Superior Court. Woodland police said Hoskins shot her husband, 60-year-old retired probation official Bryan Morris Hoskins, in the chest at her residence in the 600 block of Knollwood Drive before calling 911 and reporting the incident.

In addition to the felony count of murder, Susan Hoskins faces a charging enhancement alleging the intentional and personal discharge of a firearm causing great bodily injury.
