Neighbor’s call leads to vandalism arrests

By From page A3 | August 20, 2013

Police say an alert neighbor’s report led to the arrests of two Solano County men after they allegedly tried to break into a Drake Drive home.

Sgt. Frank Tenedora said the neighbor called police at about 2:45 a.m. Saturday that two men were seen leaving the home and left in a vehicle that was headed toward Sycamore Lane. Police stopped the car and determined the driver, 25-year-old Manuel Tavizon Jr. of Vacaville, allegedly was driving under the influence and with a suspended license.

The witness was called to the scene and identified both Tavizon and his passenger, Dixon resident Juan Juarez-Ramirez, 24, as the people who damaged the neighbor’s property, Tenedora said. Both were jailed on suspicion of vandalism, as well as DUI charges for Tavizon.
