No injuries in rollover crash

By From page A5 | March 16, 2014

Three people walked away uninjured from this rollover accident Saturday morning near the Oakshade Town Center in South Davis. According to David police Sgt. Frank Tenedora, at about 11:30 a.m., Janice Beach, 63, of Davis, was turning left from northbound Pole Line Road onto westbound Cowell Boulevard in the Mazda when it was broadsided by a southbound 2005 Acura MDX. The Mazda slid, hit an island and rolled over. Its airbags deployed, and Beach walked away without injury. She, the driver of the Acura, Gabriel Shuken, 42, of Pleasant Hill, and his passenger, Amanda Shuken, 9, were all wearing seat belts. The crash remains under investigation, but Tenedora said the drivers’ statements have Gabriel Shuken running a red light. He has not yet been cited. Sue Cockrell/Enterprise photo
