My story is correct. Mr. Benson likely served only 96 days after receiving credit for the time he served in jail following his arrest, but it was indeed a 120-day term the judge handed down. And while the medical marijuana issue was not a factor in the charges (I never reported that it was), according to Mr. Benson’s own parents it triggered the events that led to his arrest, so for that reason it is relevant.

This reporter is beyond incompetent. Mr. Benson received 96 days in jail which was then reduced by Judge Fall to house arrest. Miss Keene, I suggest you invest in some q-tips and clean your ears. You should report on what actually happened to Mr. Benson. I would also add the medical marijuana stuff is irrelevant to the charges and was not used against Mr. Benson in court. Go back to school lady.

Well, good for you Yolo Superior Court Judge Timothy Fall. Sounds like Mental Health Court to me! Bravo to all the advocates who I am sure worked tirelessly to keep Mr. Benson in treatment!
