Sexual assault suspect due in court

The man accused of sexually assaulting a woman on the grounds of a downtown Davis church was scheduled to be arraigned Wednesday afternoon in Yolo Superior Court.

Christopher Lynn Romone Turk, 25, was being held in lieu of $150,000 bail Tuesday at the Yolo County Jail, where he was lodged following his arrest the day before on suspicion of sexual assault, robbery, burglary, false imprisonment and sexual battery.

He is accused of assaulting and robbing the 34-year-old woman late Saturday morning on the grounds of Davis Community Church, 412 C St. Davis police said he was found with physical evidence linking him to the crime at the time of his arrest.
