Six local residents were arrested on drug charges Tuesday after Davis police officers conducted a parole search at 1110 Halifax Ave. in Stonegate and found more than two ounces of methamphetamine.

Police officers suspected and found other evidence that suggested other drugs were being sold at the house as well, a department spokesman said.

Five Davis residents — Erica Marie Umbay, 37; Chad Stewart Umbay, 28; Michelle Witten, 31; Thomas Witten, 33; and Zachary Hicks, 26 — were arrested for possessing methamphetamine with the intent to distribute, possessing drug paraphernalia and criminal conspiracy.

One Woodland resident — Matthew Ramirez, 25 — was arrested for being at a house where methamphetamine was being sold.

According to the police report, during the investigation Thomas Witten became combative with officers and had to be physically subdued.

All six arrestees were lodged at the Yolo County Jail in Woodland.
