Davis police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at the Jamba Juice in The Marketplace shopping center over the weekend.

Lt. Tom Waltz said the unidentified suspect entered the business at 1361 Covell Blvd. at about 8:15 p.m. Saturday, confronted the clerk with a handgun and demanded money. He fled westbound away from the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.

Waltz described the suspect as an Asian male in his early 20s, about 5-foot-6 with a slender build, wearing a black pea coat, black pants and black baseball hat. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Davis Police Department at 530-747-5400.
