A 16-year-old Davis boy faces indecent exposure charges after allegedly being caught masturbating on a North Davis greenbelt, police said.

Lt. Glenn Glasgow said a woman walking in the area near Ipanema Place at about 8:40 p.m. Tuesday confronted the teen at about 8:40 p.m. before calling 911 and describing what she saw. An officer responded and searched the area, finding someone who matched the suspect’s description.

The teen was placed under citizen’s arrest and released to a parent with a citation, Glasgow said. He added that it does not appear to be related to a similar incident that occurred Sept. 30 near Bella Casa Street and Catalina Drive.
