Two busted for downtown fight

By From page A5 | February 24, 2013

A scuffle outside a downtown bar led to the arrests of two men early Friday, Davis police said.

Lt. Glenn Glasgow said an officer patrolling the downtown area noticed 23-year-old Daniel Rodriguez “acting aggressively and challenging others to fight” in the 800 block of Second Street. Rodriguez allegedly pushed the officer when he tried to intervene.

A struggle between Rodriguez and the officer ensued and involved a third person, 21-year-old Jose Munoz, who attempted to free Rodriguez, Glasgow said.

Both men were arrested — Munoz, of Winters, on suspicion of making criminal threats; and Rodriguez, whose hometown was unavailable, on suspicion of battery on a peace officer and resisting arrest with violence. Both were lodged at the Yolo County Jail.
