Two Yolo County residents have been arrested in connection with at least 12 different thefts that have taken place in Davis, Woodland and other locations throughout the county.

David McGuire, 29, of Woodland, and Calli Garcia, 30, of Yolo County, were booked at the Yolo County Jail on charges of possession of stolen property.

Woodland police allege that the men broke into the city of Woodland’s Municipal Service Center sometime between June 22 and June 24 and stole two box trailers, one of which contained tools and roadway signs. The value of the stolen property was estimated to be $117,000.

Investigators from the Yolo County Gang Task Force and the Yolo County Narcotics Enforcement Team subsequently conducted an investigation into that incident as well as other recent thefts throughout the county and that investigation led to the arrest of McGuire and Garcia.

Following the arrest, investigators recovered thousands of dollars worth of property associated with at least 12 different cases from Woodland and Davis.

The investigation continues and anyone with information is encouraged to call the Woodland Police Department at 530-666-2411.
