UCD police investigate sexual battery report

The UC Davis Police Department has issued a crime alert about a sexual battery incident that occurred on campus this week.

According to the bulletin, a woman was walking with two friends in the Segundo dorm area near Russell Boulevard at about 1 a.m. Wednesday when she was slapped on the buttocks by a man riding by on his mountain bike.

The suspect was last seen riding toward Russell Boulevard, where he turned eastbound toward the downtown area. He was described as a white male between 18 and 21 years old, 5-foot-11 and 180 pounds, with light-colored short hair. He wore a red T-shirt, black hoodie and denim shorts.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call campus police at 530-754-COPS (2677).
