UCD stalking suspect pleads no contest

By From page A3 | August 03, 2014

A Davis man facing stalking charges pleaded no contest to one of the counts Friday, avoiding a trial that was scheduled to begin this week.

Erik Bryan Bowling is expected to be granted probation and possible jail time at his sentencing hearing on Aug. 29 in Yolo Superior Court Judge David Rosenberg’s courtroom.

UC Davis police arrested Bowling in May on suspicion of sending multiple unwanted and harassing text messages to at least one UCD student. He also had a second stalking case pending from a 2013 incident, court records show.
