Davis police arrested a Vacaville man Thursday night on suspicion of possessing an illegal weapon.

Lt. Glenn Glasgow said an officer was patrolling the area of Research Park Drive and Newton Court in South Davis at about 10 p.m. when he spotted a suspicious vehicle parked in the area and made contact with the three occupants inside. One of them “appeared to be nervous and subsequently admitted to being in possession of a knife,” Glasgow said.

Juan Carlos Ramirez, 21, was arrested after being found with an illegal gravity knife, Glasgow said. He was lodged at the Yolo County Jail.
