A Davis woman and child were hospitalized Friday morning after their vehicle sideswiped another on County Road 32A east of Davis, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Kristy Lee Labourdette, 24, was driving a Mercedes C300 westbound on the roadway, near County Road 105, when according to an oncoming driver the vehicle drifted into the eastbound lane and sideswiped a Volvo three-axle truck, CHP Officer Bryan Konvalin said.

The 7:50 a.m. collision caused the Mercedes to veer off the north side of the road and come to rest in a grassy area, Konvalin said. Labourdette and her passenger, 3-year-old Emma Labourdette, were taken to the UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento for treatment of minor to moderate injuries.
