Authorities check the scene of an Amtrak train fatality Tuesday morning west of Davis. The woman who was struck and killed has been identified as Darcy Berry, 58, of Washington, Solano County coroner’s officials reported this morning. Union Pacific Railroad Police Department officials said Berry was walking in the middle of the westbound tracks when she was struck by the passenger train at about 7:20 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene. An investigation into the incident, which delayed train travel in both directions, remains underway.
