A Woodland man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Friday night after his car rolled over and crashed into some fence posts on County Road 102.

Christopher Villanueva, 38, of Woodland, was arrested after the solo vehicle crash at about 11 p.m. Friday. He was airlifted by Cal Star to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, where he was listed in good condition Saturday night.

According to California Highway Patrol Officer Guillermo Hernandez, Villanueva was passing other vehicles at a high rate of speedĀ and lost control of his vehicle while traveling northbound on County Road 102, just south of County Road 29. His car left the road, rolled over and struck some fence posts before coming to rest on its right side. Villanueva was partially ejected, his legs trapped by the vehicle.

The Davis Fire Department responded to the scene. It took more than an hour to extricate Villanueva from the wreck.
