WOODLAND — A 40-year-old man allegedly knifed his younger brother Saturday night during a fight, according to Woodland police.
Khalid Hussain, 40, from Woodland, allegedly pulled out a knife during a fight with his brother, a 34-year-old Woodland man, and slashed him across the stomach shortly before 10 p.m. at the Autumn Run Apartments, 1180 Matmor Road, Sgt. Tom Davis said in a news release. The apartment building where the fight occurred is located between the Yolo County Fairgrounds and the intersection of Highway 113 and East Gibson Road.
Police arrived to find the victim “lying on the ground with a large cut to his abdomen.” Officers found Khalid Hussain and took him into custody. They also recovered the knife allegedly used in the slashing.
An ambulance took the victim to UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento where he underwent surgery and was in stable condition as of Sunday morning, Davis said.
